Owen Perillo

I’m a retired executive from Accenture.  My passion after being in the corporate world has been to promote healthy and adventurous lifestyles by leveraging the power of nature and experiential education.  My family and I moved to Santa Fe, NM in 2003 to pursue a better lifestyle for ourselves.  Soon after arriving, I was introduced to an amazing non-profit organization that aligned with my passion.  I spent over 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Santa Fe Mountain Center (SFMC) and served many roles including Board President.  I am now actively involved as an Advisory Board member.

I was attracted to the Mountain Center because it uses Adventure Therapy to transform the lives of underserved populations – youth at risk, Native American communities, trauma survivors and the LGBTQ community.  The strong and stable leadership of the SFMC team has done a tremendous job in creating and operating programs that have a sustained impact on their clients.  For example, SFMC’s anti-bullying program with the Santa Fe Public Schools has saved the lives of many vulnerable youth.  I have also heard the touching stories of many youth and adults whose experience with the SFMC programs has positively changed their lives.
